Duke & Cooke pride themselves on being part of the Nelson Tasman community for over 30 years.

To show their support for some of the good things that go on around the region they have supported many initiatives during this period, including but not limited to, the following:

The Brook Waimarama Sanctuary Business Club

A pest-free sanctuary surrounded by a pest-proof fence, the sanctuary has already increased the bird life, but there is more to come. With increased input it will spread well outside the sanctuary fence and bring increased bird life throughout Nelson and the Mount Richmond Forest Park (the Sanctuary's 'halo').

As a business partner and member of the Brook Business Club, Duke & Cooke are contributing to this halo and assisting the Sanctuary to introduce iconic species and build a visitor experience infrastructure.

Cancer Society Daffodil Day

With 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer, Duke & Cooke never hesitate to support this very worthwhile cause.

Makos 500 Club

Duke & Cooke are proud to be active members of the Tasman Makos 500 Club. Not only does this assist the mighty Makos towards victory in the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership Division, it allows us to go along and support them while they're doing it. Go the Makos!

Nelson Centre of Musical Arts

From small beginnings in the mid 1800’s to a thriving musical hub fit for the 21st century, NCMA has a unique and colourful history. Duke & Cooke wanted to see that continue and so contributed to the School of Music buildings being strengthened and developed in 2018.

Nelson Golf Club

Nelson Links is a superbly crafted links golf course that blends seamlessly into the natural coastal terrain.

To play Nelson Links is a unique experience in New Zealand. One of only seven courses across the country that offer a True Links Experience.

Nelson Tasman Cycle Trails Trust

With a lot of keen cyclists here at Duke & Cooke, we are pleased to support The Nelson Tasman Cycle Trails Trust in leading the project to build Tasman’s Great Taste Trail.

They have achieved significant progress with over two-thirds of the Trail now open to cyclists and walkers.

Nelson Tasman Hospice

Nelson Tasman Hospice embarked on its most ambitious project in its 30-year history. They built a new $11.5 million hospice at Suffolk Road in Stoke.

Stoke Rugby Football Club

With links past and present to this historical club, Duke & Cooke were pleased to present a brand new lectern to them in 2019. We're also not shy of the odd quiz night to show our support for this hard working little club.
